
Coming home with a custom made unloader knee brace is a whole new chapter. Not only was I big and bulky now there's a metal brace around my leg to make be even bulkier. Wearing shorts the brace would cause sweat to build up over my leg. Wearing the brace over pants and the brace would slide down causing even more pain to my knee.
Figuring I'm going to be in pain the rest of my life I decided the pain should be rewarding and joyful. 10 minutes on a stationary bike wasn't going to do it. I needed the least impact on my knee while burning as much calories as possible.
After plenty of vigorous research (Google searches) I came to the conclusion my highest calorie b
urn with the least impact would be on an elliptical machine. Lifting weights with a 20 lb weight restriction was going to be a challenge. Sitting or laying on a bench technically wasn't lifting since my knee wasn't having pressure applied. Only problem is that when you are that out of shape is 20 lbs is plenty.
